Class Descriptions (ages 3-5):

Our Pre classes are for our tiny dancers ages 3-5.  These classes are scheduled for 30 minutes each. Most children sign up for two pre classes that take place back to back.

Pre-Ballet

This is a class for dancers ages 3-5 years old. This class will introduce ballet vocabulary to the students, and the basic 5 positions of ballet.  This will be done through exercises that are meant to help them with balance, coordination, body awareness, and the task of following directions. Parents will drop their child for the 30-minute class and will have the opportunity to watch what they have learned on specific scheduled days that will be announced in advance.

Pre-Tap

This is a class for dancers ages 3-5 years old. Tap dance is a rhythmic form of dance which focuses on musicality and sounds. Your child will be introduced to tap steps that will create different and unique sounds as the tap shoes strike the floor. They will discover and learn body awareness. Parents will drop their child for the 30-minute class and will have the opportunity to watch what they have learned on specific scheduled days that will be announced in advance.

Baby Bop

Baby Bop is the introduction to hip-hop for children ages 3-5 years old. This is an upbeat class that will focus on rhythm, isolations, freestyle and age-appropriate choreography similar to what you see in music videos. They will learn body awareness, such as left vs. right, up vs. down, balance, body parts, and more. They will have a blast learning how to break it down to funky hip-hop music. Parents will drop their child for the 30-minute class and will have the opportunity to watch what they have learned on specific scheduled days that will be announced in advance.

Pre Cheer

This class will teach you everything intro to cheer! There will be an introduction to basic tumbling such as forward rolls, hand stands, cartwheels, bridges, etc. You will also learn cheer motions: high v, low v, T, broken T, etc. They will learn cheer jumps: tuck jump, toe touch, and pike jump. Bring lots of energy and tons of sass! This is an intro to our Acro & tumbling class. They perform in our recital as well.

Class Descriptions (ages 6+):

These classes are for dancers ages 6+. Our classes typically are separated by age ranges 6-9 years old, and 10+ years old. These classes are scheduled to be 50 minutes long.

Jazz

Jazz uses sharp and fluid movements to create a visually technical dance and style. In this class you will learn body isolations, turning, leaping, jumping and technical jazz steps. Be ready to get sassy as you dance to some of the most popular hit music!

Lyrical

Lyrical dance is a combination of ballet and jazz dance that often uses music with lyrics to inspire the movements of the dancer. In this class, you will strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements. This class allows you to express your soul and different emotions through movement.

Ballet

Ballet will teach you the French ballet vocabulary, and technique for correct body placement. Ballet is the foundation for all other genres of dance, and therefore it is highly recommended for every dancer. Ballet will be studied through barre, center, and allegro work.

Tap

Tap dance is a rhythmic form of dance which focuses on musicality and sounds. You will learn many combinations and steps that create different and unique sounds as the tap shoes strike the floor.

Hip-Hop

Hip-Hop classes are designed for dancers both with or without formal dance training. You will be in an upbeat class that will focus on rhythm, isolations, freestyle, and choreography similar to what you see in music videos. The music will be current and old school to bring a new vibe to every class!

Acro/Tumbling

Acro/Tumbling is a class where you will work on basic tumbling progressions beginning with forward rolls, backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, back bends,  backwalkover and front walkovers. If you are advancing quickly, we will begin to focus on more challenging tumbling skills such as aerials, standing back handsprings, standing back tucks, round-off back handsprings and back tuck combination passes! We will focus a great deal on flexibility and gain a deeper understanding of the role flexibility plays in dance. Please note this class is part of our dance program. They will learn a routine and perform in our end of year recital.

Tricks, Turns & Technique

This is a competition only class. In this class, we focus on different kinds of turns, jumps, leaps & kicks including more complicated combinations across the floor and in center. Be ready to challenge yourself with fun, new and exciting tricks and turn combos! Depending on the age group we learn different leaps, jumps, pirouettes and kicks. Throughout the year we also use this class to run our competition dances. We work on stretching and conditioning throughout the year as well.

Contemporary Ballet

This is a competition team INVITE only class. This class blends classical ballet technique with contemporary movement, focusing on strength, control, and precision. Dancers will work through structured barre combinations each week to build muscle memory and reinforce proper alignment, followed by center and across-the-floor combinations that challenge balance, fluidity, and expression. The repetitive format is designed to help dancers deepen their technique and elevate their performance to the next level.
